Italy's Olive Oil, Wine and Tuscan Cuisine

Julia Child had a great love for Italy and Italian food as well. This one-woman dynamo hosted an annual luxury tour to Italy for food admirers during her long career.

In 1987, Julia Child traveled to Italy for ABC’s Good Morning America and hosted a popular series on Italy and Italian food. Here is one of the entertaining clips from the ABC News site: Italy's Olive Oil, Wine and Tuscan Cuisine

Everyone loved Julia Child as evidenced by the film movie “Julie and Julia,” which was seen by food enthusiasts from all over the world. She was known as the “French Chef" during her long television career. Julia Child studied extensively in France at the famous Cordon Bleu cooking school, however Julia and her husband were gourmets who loved food from many nations. It seems Julia’s passion for cooking originated during her assignment to China in 1941 when she was influenced by her future husband Paul’s passion for food.
